Equal Opportunity and Employee Relations SpecialistSiena College is accepting applications for the full-time position of Equal Opportunity and Employee Relations Specialist. Reporting to the College Counsel, this position will support the College’s Human Rights Policy and Affirmative Action Program, as well as assist with general employee relations issues. The Equal Opportunity and Employee Relations Specialist will investigate complaints of discrimination, harassment and retaliation, coordinate all non-discrimination training at the College, and manage all aspects of the College’s Affirmative Action program, including mandatory reporting. In addition to monitoring legal developments on equal opportunity issues, the Equal Opportunity and Employee Relations Specialist will also assist the Office of Human Resources on general employee relations matters. A bachelor’s degree and at least three years of experience in employee relations are required for this position. Knowledge of Affirmative Action requirements and nondiscrimination laws are also required. Preferred qualifications for this position include an advanced degree, experience working in a higher education setting, and training in mediation and alternative dispute resolution. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills are essential.
