New Residence Hall

The New Residence Hall opened in August 2010, and is Siena's newest residence hall featuring 264 beds, Massry Commons dining facility, multiple social, study, and group lounges, fitness room, media room, and offices for the Sr. Thea Bowman Center for Women.

New Hall Amenities:

New Residence Hall Staff:

The New Residence Hall is staffed by a live-in professional Residence Director who is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the New Residence Hall, including maintenance and facilities concerns, mediating conflicts between students, supervision of paraprofessional Resident Assistant staff, adjudicating violations of the Siena College student code of conduct, and many other responsibilities. The Residence Director of the New Residence Hall is currently Mr. Adam W. Casler. Adam is currently in his fifth year at Siena College and chose to work at Siena becuase "Siena has given me the opportunity to start new programs and initatives, with support from numerous other offices and areas of the institution."

Each Residence Hall (except for the Townhouses) also houses a Friar-in-Residence. Franciscan Friars model Franciscan ideals, recognize the goodness and value of each person, and serve as a resource for students for any concerns they might have. The Friar-in-Residence for the New Residence Hall is Fr. Dennis Tamburello.

Also working in the New Residence Hall are 6 Resident Assistants, who are student-leaders living on each floor and wing of the residence hall who serve as peer mentors and role models for the residents of the building. RAs go through an in-depth training every August and January to provide them with the skills necessary to ensure all residents of the New Residence Hall feel welcomed and safe in the residence hall.
