FOCUS CHURCHES 275 State Street Albany, NY 12210 (518) 443-0460 FOCUS Churches of Albany’s Mission centers on providing presence, support, and advocacy for the victims of society’s injustice and neglect, speaking truth in places of power on the behalf of the powerless, and offering new possibilities of wholeness to the lonely and alienated. FOCUS seeks student volunteers to work in a hands-on setting with people living in poverty. In addition to having this educational experience, students will have the opportunity to cross over socioeconomic barriers and have the chance to meet and form relationships with people from different walks of life. By the same token, by hosting student volunteers, FOCUS Churches stands to benefit from the positive energy and intellectual element that many students bring to the table.
