Does Siena have a religious affiliation?
Yes. Siena is a Catholic and Franciscan college.

 

Do I have to take a religion class?
Yes. Students have to take one academic Religious Studies course as part of our core curriculum. There are four options: Religion in Western Culture, Introduction to Biblical Studies, An Introduction to Religious Thought, and Experiences of the Sacred.

 

Are there spiritual activities on campus?
The Office of the College Chaplin organizes a variety of spiritual activities.  Students participate in retreats, reflection and faith-sharing groups, and liturgical ministries.

 

I'm not Catholic. Will I fit in?
Yes. Students who attend Siena are of many faiths. Our College Chaplin helps students of different faiths find religious communities in Albany that fit their needs.
