Password Criteria

At least 8 characters in length

Characters need to come from at least 3 of the following 4 groups

• Uppercase letters
• Lowercase letters
• Numbers
• Special characters (@ ! # $ etc.)

Registering at Password Reset Portal

New students or new employees must register at the Password Reset Portal before trying to use their Siena College credentials to access email. Registering at the Password Reset Portal allows you to change or reset your own password if you forget it. Go to http://accountreg.siena.edu and follow the instructions for registering at the Portal.

Forgotten Password  (“See Above for New Password Criteria”)

If you have registered at the Password Reset Portal, you can reset your own password.  Go to http://accountservice.siena.edu and follow the instructions for resetting your password.  Instructions on using the portal may be found here.

If you have not yet registered at the Password Reset Portal and you do not know your password, you will need to come to the ITS Help Desk (located in the 24/7 Lab in Standish Library) or to User Services (located in Hines Hall 101).
