Counselor - HEOP

Siena College invites applications for the full-time, 12-month position of Counselor for the Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP). Responsibilities include: personal, academic, career and financial aid counseling to a diverse group of students considered to be academically and financially disadvantaged, review academic status of program students, assess and refer students to other campus services as required by the State Education Department. The Counselor is responsible for the administration of the HEOP Mentoring Program, as well as the HEOP Lobby Day Program. The Counselor will assist the Director with the completion of annual internal and State Education Department reports. Requirements: Master’s degree required; excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills required. Experience working with a diverse student population is desirable.
