Assistant Professor of Biology
Assistant Professor of Biology - tenure-track position, starting fall 2010. Animal physiologist. Candidate must be broadly trained in biology, and have a Ph.D. in the biological sciences. Successful candidate will be committed to teaching undergraduates, and to developing a research program that will involve undergraduates. Post doctoral research or teaching experience strongly preferred. Teaching duties include an upper division, laboratory-based endocrine physiology course for majors, and assisting with lab and lecture courses in introductory biology for majors. The candidate will also have opportunities to develop courses in his or her area of expertise. The teaching load will be 9 contact hours per semester. Candidates with research expertise in any area of animal physiology will be considered. Siena College is a four-year liberal arts college with approximately 3000 students.
