Study Abroad at Siena

Discovering the world and oneself

For any student, regardless of major or career aspiration, an academic term abroad provides a first-hand understanding of diversity, culture, language, world affairs and eco-systems. In today’s interconnected, global society, this enhanced perspective and life experience is invaluable in developing self-reliance and personal independence.

Siena maintains cooperative agreements with numerous universities and programs throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America and Australia. Following the example of Saint Francis of Assisi, who traveled among peoples of various cultures, Siena students challenge themselves and learn about building a world of peace, diversity and justice by studying and living all over the globe. In the process, they:
  • Discover how differently others see the world and live
  • Fulfill dreams of living in places they may otherwise never visit
  • Become more resourceful and responsible by living in a different environment
  • Experience whole new ways of learning
  • Grow in adaptability, confidence, poise and open-mindedness
  • Broaden skills and expertise valued by employers

The International Programs Office can answer questions and will help students identify approved programs where agreements are in place for course credit Financial aid and billing details can be pre-arranged.
