Sophomore Year Experience

The Sophomore Year Experience (SYE) Program is a series of programs and workshops specifically targeted to our sophomore students. We created these programs to help students begin to focus their personal and professional goals for the remainder of their time at Siena and beyond. At the beginning of each month SYE sends out a newsletter to all sophomore students. The newsletters outline the SYE theme of the month as well as SYE sponsored programs for that particular month.

EXCEL

Exploring Campus Engagement and Leadership (EXCEL) is a new leadership program sponsored by SYE. EXCEL is a program for sophomores with an interest in identifying and developing their personal leadership style and skill set. Students will learn the following: clarifying personal values, creating a mission statement, leadership styles, goal setting, conflict management styles, and encouraging others.

This program will meet bi-weekly from 12:35pm-1:25pm (Free Period) on the following Wednesdays: February 5February 19March 5March 19April 2April 16, and April 30.  Participants are required to attend ALL sessions.  Lunch will be provided. Students will be notified of their acceptance by Wednesday, January 29.
