Computing is a dynamic field that is challenging, creative and full of opportunity. It blends the art and science of deciding what problems can be solved using computer technology and how they can be solved.
  
Beginning with the first course, computer science students work closely with accomplished Siena faculty to develop their abilities to solve problems, analyze, synthesize, think critically and communicate. Many of the program’s courses are laboratory-intensive and require team projects.
 
Students round out their academic experience with a capstone software engineering course and can expand their options with:
