College-Wide Honors Program at Siena

Expanding a student’s intellectual and personal growth.

Students who take more responsibility for their education at Siena can foster greater opportunities for academic experiences better suited to their needs and interests with the Honors Program

Through extensive interaction with faculty and students in small seminars and other activities outside the classroom, Honors Fellows expand their opportunities to:
  • Develop critical and creative thinking
  • Gather, synthesize and analyze evidence in making reasoned and informed decisions
  • Appreciate cultural diversity
  • Enhance written and oral communication skills

The program is flexible and offers multiple points of entry. In addition to academic honors-level work in multiple departments, students in the Honors Program complete 100 hours of service and design and conduct a research project with a written and oral thesis. Honors work does not typically require extra credits for graduation nor extra semester time to finish the program.
