Assistant Director of Campus Programs & Student Activities - Operations Manager

Siena College is accepting applications for the full-time, 12-month administrative position of Assistant Director of Campus Programs and Student Activities/Operations Manager. Reporting to the Director of Campus Programs and Student Activities, this position is responsible for the planning, development and evaluation of student activities and programs, which reflect the educational, cultural, spiritual and social needs of the student body, in cooperation and conjunction with Siena administrators, faculty and staff, and in line with the Catholic and Franciscan mission of the institution. Duties include; coordination of student club budget processes, advisement of the Senior Class Council and Commuter Student Association, implementation of external conference services and supervision of summer conference staff, management of the Sarazen Student Union, and supervision of the Sarazen Student Union Information Desk.

1. Advise the Senior Class Council and assist in the planning and implementation of Senior Week Activities.

2. Advise the Commuter Life Council and aid in programming for, and community building of this cohort.

3. Oversee student club budgets and process contracts, invoices, reimbursements and cash advances.

4. Serve as liaison between the Office of Campus Programs and the Office of Facilities Management to manage and upkeep the Sarazen Student Union.

5. Supervise the Sarazen Student Union Information Desk staff.

6. Organize and implement external conference services.

7. Recruit, train, and supervise summer conference staff.

8. Assist in the planning and implementation of New Student Orientation.

9. Assist in staffing large campus programs.

10. Serve in a 24-hour on-call role for the Sarazen Student Union.

11. Evening and weekend work is required.

12. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Master’s degree in higher education, student personnel or a related field. Qualified candidate must be highly detail oriented, student-focused and able to work evening and weekend hours.
