3/28/09- Siena Men's Rugby travelled up to Lake Saranac to take part in the Balls Deep in Snow Tournament. Siena Started off the day with a loss in a closely contested game with the host team, Paul Smith's. The Siena ruggers bounced back to beat Clarkson heavy handedly, 21-0. In the next game Siena clinched their birth into the championship game by seizing a game winning overtime try by inside center, Timmy Irwin. In the Championship game, Siena after a long day of travelling and rugby met their match in a close rematch to Clarkson. Although Siena did not come home with a 1st place win, much was proven. The team was primarily comprised of underclassmen and they displayed that Siena Rugby's future is promising.
