About the Club

The club is a student-run organization leading the charge toward campus sustainability and environmental awareness. Some of our accomplishments include:

  • Transitioned from styrofoam products to biodegradeable cups and plates in the dining hall
  • Rallied for all double-sided printers to reduce paper waste
  • Increased use of compact flourescent light bulbs through a give-away promotion
  • Host the annual Campus Sustainability Day during fall semester: click for Siena Life article
  • Coordinate annual on-campus Earth Day events: click for Siena Life article, Troy Record article
  • Raised money and awareness for the H2O Project and Conservation International
  • Serve our campus and local community by working with the Boys & Girls Club, Veggie Mobile, Holiday Giving Tree, Relay for Life, Annual Campus Clean-Up Day (news article), Tivoli Nature Preserve, St. Agnes Cemetery and various other organizations
  • Helped plan the 2010 & 2011 Siena College Career and Internship Fair
