Housing Dates

Important Dates (updated for the 2012-2013 Academic Year)

August 12, 2012 - Summer Housing Ends.  Residence Halls open for approved early arrivals.

August 30, 2012 - Residence halls open for new students (see Orientation Scheduled for your specific move-in time).

August 30 – September 3, 2012 - Orientation program for all new students.

September 3, 2012 - Residence halls open for returning students (9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.).

September 18, 2012 - Deadline to change your meal plan for the fall semester.

September 18, 2012 - Campus wide room freeze ends.

October 12, 2012 - President's holiday (all halls remain open).

November 9, 2012 - Vacation housing requests for Thanksgiving holiday break due (submitted online).

November 21, 2012 - All residence halls and townhouses close for Thanksgiving break at 9:00 a.m.

November 25, 2012 - All residence halls and townhouses re-open at 12:00 p.m.

December 7, 2012 - Vacation housing requests for semester break due (submitted online).

December 10, 2012 - Last day of classes for the fall semester/ 24-hour Quiet Hours begin for all residential areas.

December 12 - 17, 2012 - Final Exam Period.

December 18, 2012 - All Residence halls and townhouses close for the semester break at 9:00 a.m.

January 4, 2013 - Residence Halls and townhouses open for approved early arrival students.

January 21, 2013 - Residence Halls and townhouses re-open at 10:00 a.m. for the spring 2013 semester.

February 5, 2013 - Deadline to change your meal plan for the spring semester.

February 5, 2013 - Campus wide room freeze ends.

February 21-22, 2013 - President's holiday (all halls remain open).

March 8, 2013 - Vacation housing requests for spring break due (submitted online).

March 23, 2013 - All residence halls and townhouses close for spring break - 9:00 a.m.

March 23 – April 1, 2013 – Spring/Easter Break

April 1, 2013 - Residence halls and townhouses re-open at 12:00 p.m.

May 6, 2013 - Last day of classes for the Spring 2012 semester/ 24-hour Quiet Hours begin for all residential areas.

May 8 - 13, 2013 - Final Exam Period.

May 14, 2013 - Residence halls and townhouses close for all non-graduating students at 9:00 a.m.

May 15-18, 2013 - Senior Week Activities

May 19, 2013 - Commencement; Halls and townhouses close for graduating seniors (5:00 p.m.)

May 19, 2013 - Move in for students taking summer session I courses 

May 26, 2013 - Summer housing move-in occurs for all other approved summer residents.

Fall 2013 move-in for first year students is Thursday, August 29, 2013. Move-in for upperclass students is Monday, September 2, 2013.
