Housing Dates

Important Dates (updated for the 2011-2012 Academic Year)

August 15, 2011 - Summer Housing Ends.  Residence Halls open for approved early arrivals.

September 1, 2011 - Residence halls open for new students (see Orientation Scheduled for your specific move-in time).

September 1 - 5, 2011 - Orientation program for all new students.

September 5, 2011 - Residence halls open for returning students (9:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.).

September 20, 2011 - Deadline to change your meal plan for the fall semester.

September 20, 2011 - Campus wide room freeze ends.

October 14, 2011 - President's holiday (all halls remain open).

November 11, 2011 - Vacation housing requests for Thanksgiving holiday break due (submitted online).

November 23, 2011 - All residence halls and townhouses close for Thanksgiving break at 9:00 a.m.

November 27, 2011 - All residence halls and townhouses re-open at 12:00 p.m.

December 9, 2011 - Vacation housing requests for semester break due (submitted online).

December 12, 2011 - Last day of classes for the fall semester/ 24-hour Quiet Hours begin for all residential areas.

December 14 - 20, 2011 - Final Exam Period.

December 21, 2011 - All Residence halls and townhouses close for the semester break at 9:00 a.m.

January 3, 2012 - Residence Halls and townhouses open for approved early arrival students.

January 16, 2012 - Residence Halls and townhouses re-open at 10:00 a.m. for the spring 2012 semester.

January 31, 2012 - Deadline to change your meal plan for the spring semester.

January 31, 2012 - Campus wide room freeze ends.

February 10, 2012 - President's holiday (all halls remain open).

February 24, 2012 - Vacation housing requests for spring break due (submitted online).

March 10, 2012 - All residence halls and townhouses close for spring break - 9:00 a.m.

March 10 - 18, 2012 - Spring Break

March 18, 2012 - Residence halls and townhouses re-open at 12:00 p.m.

March 23, 2012 - Vacation housing requests for Easter break due (submitted online)

April 5, 2012 -  All residence halls and townhouses close for Easter break - 9:00 a.m.

April 5 - 9, 2012 - Easter Break

April 9, 2012 - All residence halls and townhouses re-open at 12:00 p.m.

April 30, 2012 - Last day of classes for the Spring 2012 semester/ 24-hour Quiet Hours begin for all residential areas.

May 2 - 8, 2012 - Final Exam Period.

May 9, 2012 - Residence halls and townhouses close for all non-graduating students at 9:00 a.m.

May 9 - 12, 2012 - Senior Week Activities

May 13, 2012 - Commencement; Halls and townhouses close for graduating seniors (6:00 p.m.)

May 13, 2012 - Summer housing move-in occurs.
