Special Living Units in First Year student areas:
For the 2011-2012 academic year, there will be limited housing available for new resident students in the Quiet Living and Service Wings. Students interested in being assigned to this area should complete the appropriate section on their Housing and Meal Information Form that will become available through the Welcome.siena.edu portal in May. We will assign students based upon their written interest and in the order in which they are received.
Quiet Living
“Quiet Living” is defined as having quiet hours from 7:30am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday in addition to the regularly scheduled residence hall quiet hours (Sunday - Thursday 10pm - 7:30am and Friday - Saturday midnight - 7:30am). Quiet wing residence hall placements will be determined by demand. If you would like to be considered for placement in this area, you will be asked to submit a one paragraph letter explaining why you are interested in Quiet living and how you would promote this environment on your floor.
Service Wings
Students interested in participating in and promoting service opportunities for the entire residence hall will be assigned to a specific wing of the residence halls. Students will work with Residential Life Staff to explore service programs at the College and local community, reflect on these experiences and share them with the entire hall!
