Company Financials

The Annual Report is the main document used by most public companies to disclose company information to shareholders. Remember that these reports while containing factual information about the company are also used as public relations tools.

Most public companies publish their annual reports on the company website. However, sometime the reports are difficult to locate as they are hidden behind public relations glitz. Clink on links labeled "About" or "Company Information" or "Investor Relations."

To obtain a truly accurate view of the company consult other resources in addition to annual reports and the company website. The following are other sources for obtaining annual reports:

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requires companies which sell stock (public companies) to file financial reports. 10 K and 10 Q Reports provide more detailed financial information than annual reports.
