Faculty Status

The following are Committee on Faculty Status deadlines for the 2011-2012 academic year. Please read them and pay careful attention to the dates and deadlines. NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Original requests for tenure, promotions, sabbaticals and leaves of absence, and part-schedule teaching should first be submitted to the Head of the faculty member’s department. The Department Head will submit these requests with his/her evaluation to the Dean who will forward them to me (as the chair of the Committee on Faculty Status). Faculty who submit any request for consideration by the Committee on Faculty Status must also provide an updated copy of their Personal Data Record with each request. No application for consideration will be accepted without a department head's evaluation, a dean's evaluation and an updated Faculty Personal Data Record. NOTE: COMPLETE CITATIONS ARE REQUIRED IN ALL MATERIALS YOU SUBMIT.

Requests for designation of emeritus/a status for retired faculty should be submitted with the recommendation of one or more of the following: Department Head, Dean, Vice President for Academic Affairs, the majority of full-time faculty in his/her department; and must be accompanied by an updated PDR from the emeritus/a candidate's last year.
