Center for Global Financial Studies

If we want to be successful as a "finance department" and not as individuals within a department, we need a resources-generating concept that provides us with scholarship and teaching supports. That is, an umbrella concept that brings together the finance department capabilities and provide seed money to help sustain our excellence in research and, therefore, in teaching. The Center for Global Financial Studies (CGFS) is our umbrella concept.

Misson Statement 

The mission of CGFS is (1) to promote scholarship in the interest of identifying, pursuing, acquiring and disseminating empirical and practical research related to global financial issues, and (2) to follow Siena's tradition of excellence in teaching by supporting student learning, research and networking with professionals in the financial services area.
