Completing a Baccalaureate Social Work education gives you an understanding of human behavior, social issues, and how to intervene to make a difference, preparing you for any number of exciting professional pathways. It is an excellent foundation for:
Graduate schools
Most of our graduate choose to go on for post-graduate study in social work (M.S.W. - Masters in Social Work), while others choose other exciting helping profession (e.g., law, education, or health fields).
Employment
As a BSW education is recognized as a professional degree for countless positions within both public and private human services organizations, the job market attracts many students right out of college.
Service opportunities
Other students will choose to spend a year or two gaining helping experience in other parts of the country or the world through opportunities with AmeriCorps, the Peace Corps, or other service organizations.
