I joined the Department in 2001 bringing 30 years of clinical, managerial, and consulting social work experience. My primary field of practice is health care, having performed wide-ranging roles in diverse settings, including: community health, long term care, nursing homes, kidney dialysis & transplantation, rehabilitation, and hospice. Additionally, I have been a government health regulator, a health educator, and a private therapist with a holistic mind-body therapeutic approach. My area of scholarship is gender health, specializing in men’s health issues, and have published and spoken widely on this topic. I am also a published poet. In addition to my administrative functions, I teach:
