Dr. Carla joined the faculty in 2000. Her practice experience includes work with families and adults in mental health, medical, and hospice settings. She has research experience in gerontology, grief and loss, and mental health, and has published in these areas. Current interests include use of technology in clinical social work and education, and public expressions of grief.
