Spring 2013:
Dr. Dick is on sabbatical for the Spring 2013 semester


Dr. Dick will spend the Spring 2013 semester as associate professor of the Old Testament at Princeton Theological Seminary.  During his stay, he will complete his book on the fall of the Assyrian Capital of Nineveh (612 BCE) and prepare for the revised edition of Christopher Walker and his 2001 critical edition of the Babylonian ritual Mīs Pȋ. The new volume will appear online at the University of Pennsylvania’s Online Richly Annotated Cuneiform Sources (Oracc).  Dr. Dick will also teach one Ph.D. biblical course on Creation in the Hebrew Bible and the Ancient Near East.

COMING events

  • Save the date! The Kieval Institute Fall Colloquium will take place on October 27-28, 2013. Dr. Zvi Garber and Dr. Pheme Perkins will present on the topic, "The Jewish Jesus." Registration information will be available in September.
