Pre-Law

Siena College's Pre-Law program assists students in acquiring the appropriate background and skills to compete in the law school admissions process. Through personal guidance and information, Siena's Pre-Law program seeks to maximize our students' potential for success in the field of law.

The Pre-Law program is multifaceted in its approach and includes:

The Pre-Law advisor at Siena provides students with appropriate information concerning legal education and the legal profession and assists students in the application process. This assistance includes:

  • Supplying basic information about the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) and the Law School Data Assembly Service (LSDAS)
  • Financial aid forms
  • Answering students' questions
  • Writing letters of recommendation for applicants
  • Informing students about deadlines and fees

Eighty-five percent of our students who applied to law school in 2008 were accepted including all of our Summer Legal Fellows.

Siena has established a 4/3 program with law schools.  In this program, Siena students can complete their undergraduate education at Siena and then proceed with their law education.
