Paul Santilli is a Professor of Philosophy and has been a faculty member at Siena College for twenty- seven years. Dr. Santilli received his Ph.D. from Boston College in 1976. He has been the chair of the philosophy department and received the Siena College Teacher of the Year award in 1994. He is interested in moral questions related to suffering and evil and has recently published book chapters for Palgrave-Macmillan and Blackwell on genocide and horror. He also writes on film and is a specialist in the cinema of the Polish director Krzysztof Kieslowski. Dr. Santilli teaches courses in ethics, philosophy of law, film and philosophy, as well as participating in the Philosophy Department’s Symposium of Living Philosophers and Siena’s Honors Program.
