The School of Business Internship Program provides a field study experience in subject areas covered by the departments of Accounting, Economics, Finance, and Marketing and Management. Students can earn credit toward their degree while exploring career opportunities related to their major field of study. Students will work 120 to 150 hours per semester for each 3 credit internship, maintain a field experience journal, and complete a final project or report. Students will also attend scheduled classroom seminars, which will cover topics such as interviewing skills, networking, and dining etiquette.

Prerequisites

Senior Status (minimum of 84 earned credit hours)
Minimum of twelve credit hours earned at Siena College in the major field of study
Minimum cumulative Siena College GPA of 2.75 or 3.0 Siena College GPA in the major field of study 

Receiving Academic Credit

Three (3) credits are earned per internship
The maximum number of credits that can be earned is six (6) for two separate internships
Two separate internships cannot be taken concurrently
Internships can only be taken within the term for which a student is registered
Internship credit will count as business elective credit and is not used to fulfill major requirements
Students are graded on a pass/fail basis
