Accommodations for Disabled Guests
Seating for persons with disabilities at the Commencement Ceremony will be pre-assigned. Please notify the Office of Academic Affairs by e-mail to lrogers@siena.edu by April 30, if any of your guests require special accommodations, including wheelchair access. Seating for persons in wheelchairs is limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
If your guest has difficulty walking or managing stairs (but is not wheelchair-bound), he / she will be seated in the Special Seating Section which consists of the top rows of the Times Union Center “lower bowl.” IMPORTANT: There are still 2 to 4 stairs he / she must WALK DOWN in order to get to these seats. In addition, walking from the parking lot / garage to available seating may be challenging for elderly guests or those with special needs. Please consider renting a wheelchair. Special Seating passes are required and will be issued only to those requesting disabled seating accommodations. These passes will be available for pick up in the Office of Academic Affairs (Siena Hall 219) between Wednesday, May 15, and Friday, May 17. If you will be off campus and unable to pick up your passes during this time, please contact lrogers@siena.edu or call 518-782-6654 to make alternate arrangements.
