Central to branding Siena is development of a core message – a brief, clear statement that communicates our values in a manner that can be understood by many audiences.

Distinctive – The perception of difference is relative to the base it is compared with, generally among competing brands this is a 20 percent difference.

Defendable – The message must be defendable if acceptance, loyalty and action are to follow.

Valuable – The objective is to capture the benefits of the College in a way that promotes understanding and acceptance because it reflects the values or aspirations of the audience.
