Fr. Julian A. Davies, O.F.M.

Fr. Julian Davies photoFr. Julian A. Davies, O.F.M., a native of Utica, N.Y., entered the Franciscan Order in 1953, made his first profession on August 13, 1954, and was ordained to the priesthood on March 12, 1960. He holds a Ph.D. from Fordham University and has taught Philosophy at Siena since 1970.

Fr. Julian's many ministerial activities include Siena College Archivist, Spiritual Assistant to the St. Bernardine of Siena Secular Franciscans, faculty advisor to the Siena Students for Life, and presently Editor of the Holy Name Province Provincial Annals; he has been active in Marriage Encounter and Marriage Retorno. His book Ockham on Aristotle's Physics was published by the Franciscan Institute in 1989. He often celebrates liturgy at St. Joseph's Provincial House in Latham and in parishes of the Albany Diocese. 

Favorite pastime: an avid fan of Siena basketball in particular and sports in general.
