Dr. Donald P. Levy, Director. Dr. Levy served for two years as the Director of the Institute for Social and Community Research (ISCR) at West Virginia Wesleyan College, and prior to that as Director of Research at the Center for Population Research (CPR) at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Levy holds a Ph.D., in Sociology from the University of Connecticut and a B.A. from Yale University. He has conducted numerous local, regional and national studies, presented his research in scholarly and popular venues and been interviewed for the New York Times, Fortune, and National Public Radio.

Dr. Douglas A. Lonnstrom, Founding Director. A professor of finance and statistics, Dr. Lonnstrom served six years as head of the Quantitative Business Analysis Department at Siena and as Dean of Business for seven years. Dr. Lonnstrom has a Ph.D. in Urban and Environmental Studies from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA in Economics from Siena College. Dr. Lonnstrom served as a Director of SRI since its beginning and has written and spoken on its research in numerous venues and publications.

Meghann M. Crawford, Director of Data Management

Meghann M. Crawford, Director of Data Management. Ms. Crawford acquired her research experience over the past six years working in both market research and public opinion polling at the Marist Institute for Public Opinion as Survey Operations Manager and Project Director. In addition to her main responsibilities of programming and data analysis, Ms. Crawford is involved in project and computer systems management. She holds an MBA from Marist College and a B.S. in Business from SUNY New Paltz.

Colleen M. Kromrey, Coordinating Supervisor. Mrs. Kromrey gained her research experience working in the private sector for nearly ten years and as a member of the Market Research Association (MRA). Mrs. Kromrey ensures the integrity of the data collected at SRI through coaching, training and development of the supervisors and interviewers. She also participates in project management and contributes to the programming and data analysis. Mrs. Kromrey holds an A.A.S from Fulton Montgomery Community College and has been pursuing her B.A. in History from SUNY Albany.

Kate Nelligan, Assistant Director of Operations

Kate Nelligan, Assistant Director of Operations. Mrs. Nelligan has spent the past three years working in an academic environment as the Administrative Specialist for Annual Giving at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Mrs. Nelligan is responsible for a variety of tasks at SRI including financial management, scheduling of staff and activities, and contributing to the preparation of press releases, project reports and web content. She holds a B.A. in English from Fairfield University.

Colin Frederickson, Production Supervisor. Colin graduated from Marist College with a B.A. in Psychology. While at Marist he worked at the Marist Institute for Public Opinion as an interviewer, supervisor and office assistant. In addition to supervising the call center during evening and weekend hours, Colin also contributes to SRI’s website and archives data.

Courtney Cozzy, AmeriCorps VISTA Fellow

Courtney Cozzy, Coordinator of Community-Based Research. Ms. Cozzy has joined the team as an AmeriCorps VISTA after receiving her B.A. in English at Siena College. Previously, she completed her Honors Thesis and chose to pursue a career in research. This, combined with the VISTA mission to serve the community, has made SRI the perfect fit to focus on projects pertaining to community needs evaluation and volunteer capacity at a diverse range of institutions.
