The 'Siena House'

Fall 2009/Spring 2010

     The “Siena House” in North Albany is born out of the partnership of the Franciscan Center for Service and Advocacy, Siena College's Habitat Club, with support from Prime Companies. This joint venture was the next step in the ongoing collaboration between Siena College, Prime Companies, and Capital District Habitat for Humanity. This exciting endeavor commemorated and celebrated the ten year anniversary (2009) of the Franciscan Center for Service and Advocacy and Siena College's Habitat for Humanity Club.

     As a Franciscan community we are called to embody the vision and values of St. Francis. Our heritage encourages us to be in service to the poor and marginalized and to work together as a community with friendship and respect. Therefore, there was no better way to demonstrate these values and express our solidarity with our brothers and sisters in need right here in the Capital District than to fully support this exceptional opportunity.
