November 15-21: Homelessness Awareness Week
November 22-25: Equinox Dinner This Thanksgiving Dinner, sponsored by the Equinox in Albany, helps the hungry, homeless, and homebound throughout the Capital Region. Members of the Siena community are asked to volunteer for the preparation of this dinner during the week prior to Thanksgiving. There will be times available on Sunday 11/22, Monday 11/23, Tuesday 11/24, and Wednesday 11/25.
November 22-December 16: Giving Tree The Giving Tree is Siena’s Christmas Outreach to local service agencies! This is our largest outreach project of the year. Local agencies contact the Franciscan Center with a list of items that the people they serve in the community need. Students, faculty, staff, administrators and alumni are asked to visit one of the trees set up on campus and select a card, purchase the gift for the person listed on the card, wrap the gift and then return the gift with the card attached to it. Trees will be located in the Sarazen Student Union Atrium, Foy Hall Lobby & the Chaplain’s Office Lobby.

December 1, 2009: National AIDS Awareness Day
World AIDS Day is observed every year on December 1st. The World Health Organization established World AIDS Day in 1988 to provide us with an opportunity to raise awareness and focus attention on the global AIDS epidemic.
Watch for activities sponsored by the FCSA, the Chaplain’s Office, & the Women’s Center.
December 2, 2009: Red Cross Blood Drive
Sarazen Student Union- Rooms 241-243 from 10:30 AM-5:30 PM Donating blood is a selfless act of lifesaving generosity. If you can’t donate but would like to volunteer to support our drive please contact Sue Buckley at ext. 2333 or e-mail her at sbuckley@siena.edu.
