Scholarships & Grants

As a transfer student you will be eligible for financial aid from Siena College. Your transfer advisor will work with you to determine your aid needs and opportunities.

Academic Scholarships

Siena offers two scholarships for transfer students in excellent academic standing. Only one merit scholarship is permitted per student.

Franciscan Transfer Scholarship

  • Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 - 4.0 to be eligible
  • Annual awards are $7,000
  • Scholarships are renewed each year provided the student maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.1 

Siena College Phi Theta Scholarship

  • Students must be a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society to be eligible.
  • Annual awards are $14,000
  • Scholarships are renewed each year provided the student maintains a cumulative GPA of 3.1

Need-Based Grants

Students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be eligible for grants at Siena.

The Siena Grant

  • Awarded based on demonstrated financial need determined by the FAFSA, and
  • Strength of Academic Record

Endowed Scholarshps

Through the generosity of friends, family & alumni of the College, Siena has established 275 endowed scholarships. To apply we ask that you reseach the list of scholarships identified in our College Catalog, and then simply email aid@siena.edu with the scholarships you feel best match your characterstics.
